VALERIE'S STUDENTS HAVE GONE ON TO STUDY AT

Above all, Valerie cares deeply about the wellbeing as well as the progress of her students. Her studio is a warm, nurturing space where children are free to follow their passion and curiosity, and where every family feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Dr. Val is sensitive and adaptable to all learning styles, and her studio is proudly neurodiversity-friendly. Her "String Theory" Music Theory curriculum brings STEAM learning into every lesson, connecting the physics and mathematics of sound directly to the violin — so students don't just play music, they understand it.

At the heart of Valerie's teaching is Kaleidoscopes for Violin — an innovative framework developed by Elise Winters that unites the Suzuki "mother tongue" approach with rich, integrated musicianship. At the core of every student's learning, they sing all of their songs in "do-re-mi" solfège, building a deep, intuitive musicianship from the inside out.
